Read here how you can use the Android Darts Scorer with a 2nd monitor or a TV.

Connecting an external monitor

1 - Connection via Bluetooth adapter

There are adapters for connecting a monitor/TV, e.g. Miracast or Chromecast adapters (available from online retailers etc. for approx. 20-50 Euros) -> search for "miracast adapter" should return suitable results.

These are connected to the TV via HDMI. The interface to the tablet works via Bluetooth.

Depending on the tablet and adapter, however, it may not be possible to output a landscape image if the tablet itself is in portrait format. This depends on the individual case and must be tested with the corresponding device.

Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to support all Android tablets and adapters.

2 - Connection with HDMI cable

Connection via an HDMI cable is only possible with MHL-capable tablets. These are becoming increasingly rare and are quite expensive. We recommend operation via a Bluetooth adapter.

Settings in the Darts Scorer

Select "View" in the main menu.

External monitor view

The following modes are available here:

Standard view

An optimized view is displayed on the 2nd monitor (no keyboard, etc.). This is the standard option.

Standard view (smaller)

Like "Standard view", some elements and fonts are displayed smaller. This can be selected if you have problems displaying fonts that are too large.

Mirror screen

The Android screen is mirrored 1:1 on the 2nd monitor.

None

The 2nd monitor does not show a specific darts scorer view.

Compatibility mode

Select this setting if you have problems with the display on the 2nd monitor (no picture, ...). This option may help with older tablets.

Questions/problems

Portrait/landscape format

External monitors are often displayed in landscape format, while tablets are often operated in portrait format.

With some combinations or tablets, it is unfortunately not possible to display a second monitor in landscape format while the tablet is being operated in portrait format. Here you need to check whether operating the tablet itself in landscape format can help.
