Create a seeding list

Note for seeding in the group stage
If you are playing with groups of 4, 8, 16, 32 etc, please look at the game board grid in advance. This is based on the rules of the associations.
If you play your tournaments with different numbers of groups, you can easily set the seeding as follows:
Ranking position 1 = Group 1
Ranking position 2 = Group 2
Ranking position 3 = Group 3
etc.

In the menu, select: “Event” > “Seeds”.

Here please click on the “+ New…” button to create a new seeding list.


Give your seeding list a unique name so that you can later add it to your tournament according to the selected tournament mode. Please also indicate here whether you would like to create the seeding list for a group phase or for a pure knockout mode.
For a group phase, add the individual positions here.
Save the information you provided.


A notice:
In order to create a well-functioning seeding list, you need to familiarize yourself a little with the 2K game plans. If you play in 5 groups in your tournament, the seeding will have to be different than it would be if you had 8 groups.

In a pure knockout tournament, you only specify the number of participants to be seeded. These are automatically “set” by the system so that they meet as late as possible.

If you now want to start your tournament, please first enter the ranking positions of your participants to be seeded. You do this in the “Participants” area.

In the “Mode” area, select the seeding list you created
