In the BH rating and the FBH rating, points are assigned to the respective participant.
Here the ratings are not only taken from the leg difference, but also from the opposing games.
A winner receives points in the Buchholz ranking through the victories of his opponents.
(The sum of his opponents' points)
(Default setting in the 2K system: 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw)
In the Feinbuchholz ranking, the winner of a game receives “plus points”.
(this is the sum of the BHF of his opponents)
If there are an odd number of participants in the tournament with the Swiss system, a participant randomly selected by the system will receive a bye in the first round. In each subsequent round, the person at the bottom of the table will receive this bye, unless he has previously received one.
Each participant will only receive a bye once during the tournament.
In the 2K system, a bye is always rated 1:0. This is how it is calculated the difference (leg difference) with one point.
In the Buchholz and Feinbuchholz rankings there are NO points for winning against bye!

PA 1 | = | 0:2 | 2 | 0 | 1:3 | 1:3 | |
PA 2 | = | 0:2 | 2 | 0 | 0:3 | 0:3 | This table assumes that the next Rounds are always paired from bottom to top. So we're at the bottom of the table. This means that the bye for the next round is set first (player with the lowest number of points). |
PA 3 | = | 0:2 | 2 | 0 | 2:3 | 2:3 | |
PA 4 | = | 0:2 | 2 | 0 | 2:3 | 2:3 | |

Participant (PA) 1 loses 1:3 and receives a difference of -2 legs in the table
Participant (PA) 7 wins 3:2 and receives a difference of 1 leg in the table
Participant (PA) 2 loses 0:3 and receives a difference of -3 legs in the table
Participant (PA) 9 receives the bye and wins 1:0 and receives a difference of 1 leg
The Buchholz and Feinbuchholz ratings are then included
(But after the first round this can only be used to a limited extent)
This results in the following “table” for the next round:

1 | PA 6 | 0 | 2 | 3:0 | |||
1 | PA 8 | 0 | 2 | 3:0 | |||
3 | PA 5 | 0 | 2 | 3:1 | In the next round of the game, participant 11 would receive a bye. Participant 2 plays against Participant 1, Participant 4 plays against Participant 3, Participant 9 plays against Participant 10, Participant 7 plays against Participant 5, PA 8 plays against PA 6 | ||
